A penchant for perfecting the process of construction and conjuring nostalgia.

Creativity and quality has long been a focus of Owner Amy D'Acquisto. Her mother made just about all of her clothes when she was little, and from this she gained an interest in construction and design of fashion. Amy learned to sew with a little bit of guidance form her mother, and her first paid job was ironing vintage tablecloths for Seattle's first espresso cafe. Over the years, while learning early sewing techniques on her beloved 1924 Singer Dressmaker, and going to college to study design and art at the university level, she collected all sorts of vintage patterns and reproduction fabrics. Amy eventually switched to the wonderful world of modern machines and construction. She loves creating a blend of the vintage with the modern: Unexpected combination of fabrics and colors, and a good variety to keep customers happy! Amy's love for domesticity and creating vintage cuteness lives on, and manifests here at Acme Baby Co. Based in a cozy cottage studio in Seattle, Washington.
